Velocity Comics Newsletter 03/15/09

Hello, all...

With fingers crossed I present this week's newsletter, ideally e-mailed hot and fresh just like they used to be, in the old days when things were built to last. We've been working on getting this new system to work as it should for a few weeks now. Hopefully we nailed it this time.

SPIFF! our select cadre of judges are hard at work scrutinizing the entries for OPERATION: SPIFF, our latest DRAW! jam where entrants give deserving comic characters a make-over. We want your voice to be heard, too, so let us know which one's your fave next time you're here and participate in partial democracy! It's sort of American!

MOVE! We were going to move the store around a lot this weekend, but most of my hired muscle had to be elsewhere on short notice. It's coming, I promise, and when it does it will BLOW YOU AWAY. When you merge feng shui with Kaballah it not only clears your sinuses, it makes for a terrifying and meaningful floorplan.

TWITTER! I am on twitter now! My username is pkgvelocity, and once I get my sea legs I'll probably use it to announce some cool sales and stuff, so check it out!

FIRE! I don't know if you heard, but there was a huge fire in Oregon Hill this week, displacing several Velocity customers and pals. We want to help them out, so we are setting a jar up near the register. Throw your quarters or twenties in there and we'll help the displaced get back on their feet and replace some belongings. DOING THE RIGHT THING FEELS GOOD.
