FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! The countdown you REALLY care about has begun! It's just under a week until the day the comics community gives back, and I've got this gnawing feeling that this year might be the best one ever. In addition to many great free comics, we'll be have a big 20% off storewide sale all day long. That's next saturday, MAY 3rd.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS: VCU's AFO program will be having it's annual Superhero costume contest this friday at 2pm in the VCU Commons Theater. The show is open to the public and always a lot of fun. Drop by and see Veloci-star PATRICK GODFREY flex his brain as a judge, and berate him mercilessly if your favorite doesn't take home the trophy or whatever.

KIRBY: While we're on the subject of contests, please note that voting is now open for the DRAW! KIRBY CONTEST. The winner will be announced on FREE COMIC BOOK DAY, May 3rd. We'll be announcing the next contest soon after that, so be on the lookout for your chance to shine.

GLAMOURPUSS #1- Dave Sim is back, and he's traded aardvarks for hot ladies. That sounds like a good trade to me.
